It feels much bigger than on the pictures. With 190 square feet, it is almost twice the size of a standard rental bedroom. Even though it's located in the basement, it has beautiful natural light. It is also quiet. Lots of work was completed to soundproof the ceiling! Wonderful opportunity for students! Bus stop to the university across the street, or use Dalhousie station - 8 minutes walk from the backyard! Great place for professionals as well - only seven stations from downtown. Well maintained, calm house, with young homeowner (late 30s) living in the house. This house is a duplex built with a concrete wall between the two houses, so no sounds from neighbours! :)) All services at walking distance: grocery, pharmacy, dollar store, coffee shop, restaurants, etc. - Very close to the highway to go to the mountains - Lots of parking spots in the street. Backyard with a small patio and BBQ. - Kitchen has a dishwasher. - Small bathroom on the same floor as the bedroom - Security: alarm system linked to a central, smoke detector in each room, carbon monoxide detector on each floor, and the possibility to lock your bedroom door. The house was also tested for radon and it does not have it. - Shared common items included! Review from past tenant: "What I love the most in renting the place is how convenient transportation is. There are a lot of bus stops near the place and would take only less than 2mins to ctrain. You can leave the house anytime since there is always an available transportation near it. Ctrain is also near which is less than 8 minutes walk. Housemates including landlord are very nice and respectful. The house is sneaky clean and very homey. I love how large the room is and has a comfortable bed.
