| Available for rent immediately, a compact but comfortable semi-furnished cottage on Protection Island located within the Nanaimo harbour. Please note that the cottage is accessible by a 10 min. boat ride on the Dinghy Dock ferry (resident passes at discount). The cabin/cottage is a little house attached to our home by a carport. It is clean and bright inside with light maple wood floors, heated tile in bathroom, lots of windows, a skylight, a complete kitchen, large living room, very small bedroom, a bathroom with open shower and washing machine for use with drying rack (or you provide dryer). Suitable for: a student who doesn't mind being away from the busyness of the city; an independent, fit retiree; or someone with a daytime work schedule, as the DD ferry runs by the hour, but not late at night. Person must be fit as the cottage is a 15 min walk with steps or a bike ride from the ferry landing. Nature walks, the ocean and a calm forest atmosphere are at your doorstep, as well as a friendly active community with lots of offerings. Please tell us a little about yourself when inquiring. References are required and lease. Price is $995 per month which includes heat, lights, water and internet connection. Looking for candidates to commit 1 year or through to April or May.
