| Hi Everyone! This is a rental for both a bedroom and a creative studio within a spacious home; available May 1st (potentially May 15th) for $1200 including utilities/internet. Our home is a 3 bedroom 1 bathroom upper floor of a house, where 2 of the bedrooms are being rented together—1 as a bedroom, the other as a studio/office for your practice. I have my own studio in a cabin on the property. I'm looking for one solo human (no couples, no children) who wants to rent the bedroom+studio as one rental. The living room is super sunny, and we regularly have board game nights, crafting hangouts, and acoustic jams there. The kitchen is sunny and spacious too, and there’s a big garage where I’ve set up a nice ping pong table. We're in Uphill, about a 10 min walk to Baker St and a 5 min walk to the Rail Trail. We have beautiful views, a front yard with beds for gardening, and a backyard with a BBQ and chill zone. It's cat friendly if you have a little one (not dog friendly unfortunately). The landlords are great and live in the house next door. I'm in my 30s, and am looking to live with somebody who feels like the following describes them: - You’ve lived in shared living situations as an adult and have figured out how to be a good roommate. - You care about cleanliness. For real, if you don’t actually care about keeping a clean home and put in the work to keep the place nice, don’t reach out. - You’re comfortable expressing your boundaries/needs, and are comfortable receiving the same. Communication is important to you and you address any issues as they come up instead of being afraid of potential conflict. Likewise, you actually listen and care if somebody brings up a point of friction with you. - Just throwing this in here to make sure you’ve actually read the ad: if you send me a message, please start off by saying yakawaka shmooshmoo before whatever you choose to share. - Major bonus points if you love ping pong and are good at it. **IMPORTANT - if you are a sound artist that requires loud sound/bass often, this might not be a good fit, since sound carries quite a bit throughout the space and to our downstairs neighbours. Happy to chat more about this if you're keen and think you can work respectfully.** Your two rooms will be unfurnished (except for a dresser + mirrors if you want them). In the photos, the room with the blue bed is the studio/office, and the room with the brown bed is the bedroom.
