Description
Michael here. I moved into this spacious 3-bedroom apartment at Bloor and Spadina back in 2016! My current roommates are both moving out of town in July, so I’m looking for 1 or 2 great people to join the space. One room becomes available July 15th, and the other by August 1st. *ABOUT THE PLACE* I searched a long time for this apartment — it’s a gem. About 1200 sq ft inside, plus a huge private patio (~500 sq ft). We’re right in the heart of the city, close to transit and Bampot Tea (my favourite local spot). The apartment has: • Central A/C • Dishwasher • In-unit washer & dryer • Working wood fireplace • Lots of storage • Set back from the street = surprisingly quiet *ABOUT THE ROOM(S)* Both rooms are bright and spacious — they each fit a queen bed, desk, and dresser, have closets, and get good light. One of the rooms also has its own private balcony. They share a bathroom (I’ve got a separate one upstairs). One room can come furnished (bed, desk, etc.) if helpful — just ask! Rent is $1260 + $200 for shared costs (utilities, internet, and cleaning every other week). Open to both short-term and long-term. If you’re looking to rent both rooms — say, using one as an office — I’m happy to discuss flexibility on rent. *ABOUT ME* I’m 34, grew up in Toronto, and run my own tutoring company from home. I’m talkative and social, but with work and life, I’m not always around to hang. I like building connection over time — and also respect everyone doing their own thing. Some things I love: Seinfeld, disco, Peter Beinart, and Danu Social House. Ask me about the time my bike broke down far from camp at Burning Man. I care about the people I live with and the space we share. I’m clean, considerate, and responsive — I like chatting, collaborative problem-solving, and generally keeping things easy between us. I’m the kind of person who will: • leave my coffee grinder tucked in the corner until after my meeting; • stealthily reorganize the fridge so it’s a little tidier for everyone; • insist you try a slice of whatever fruit I just got excited about; • ask for help hanging something — and offer you a lift when it’s raining. Also: there’s Griz, my extremely chill Burmese cat. He’s friendly, non-destructive, and usually just curled up nearby. *INTERESTED?* If it sounds like it might be a good fit, send me a quick message with answers to the questions below — or anything else you’d like me to know. Looking forward to chatting! 1. When are you hoping to move in? Are you looking for short-term or long-term? 2. How old are you? 3. What do you do for work or school? 4. Favourite TV show / music / book / local hang? 5. Tell me a crazy travel story. 6. What’s your typical weekly routine like? (work, cooking, going out, etc.) 7. You’re annoyed about something your roommate might have done. Do you:  a) Say something when you next see them  b) Shoot a text about it  c) Raise it in a monthly meeting  d) Figure out your own solution 8. What’s important to you in a living situation?
