Description
Hi there! I'm seeking a housemate and search buddy to share a 2+ bedroom place in East York, in the Danforth/Coxwell sort of area, close to the Line 2 subway and the protected bike lanes of the Danforth corridor. Anticipated per-person budget is 1600-1750/mo. Long-term is very much preferred. The reason I say "anticipated" is because while I have several prospects via my realtor, I don't have anywhere locked down quite yet. But since the housing market is both hot and expensive, it seems reasonable to try and find someone to split the place with before moving in. Pictured is the unit I'm most interested in, which I'm currently moving forward on, targeting a July 1 move-in date. Realtor link for the unit in question can be viewed below: https://www.realtor.ca/real-estate/28330984/16-earl-haig-avenue-toronto-woodbine-corridor-woodbine-corridor The plan: meet up, see if we can tolerate each other, go over the prospective units I have in mind, and ultimately split an aboveground house. Each of us gets a private bedroom, and ideally a couple other private spaces, with a shared kitchen and such. About you: A working professional with stable employment who likes the idea of the quiet but charming Danforth area, a non-smoker, and who doesn't have cat allergies. About me: a wildlife biologist working on the lakeshore, who already lives in the area in a 1 bed belowground unit who has decided there's something to be said for natural light. I'm not a late night guy - if anything, since I work with birds, I have a pretty early schedule. I have one cat, who is very friendly and playful and would love having a second human around. So, feel free to reach out! I'll be as responsive as I can. Please include your age, pronouns, and occupational status in your first message.
